Interestingly, Apple is putting their Leopard Beta Preview on dual-layer DVDs, as the image is 5.05 GB, a hair too large for those 4.7 GB ranch house disks.  I seriously doubt that Apple cannot fit the Leopard Preview onto a single layer…  perhaps the double layer preview “tactic” is a small effort to thwart pirates (remember the rampant pirating and lawsuits that came up when Tiger was released?).  Most people would not shell out 20-30 dollars for a pack of high end DVDs that they will only ever use once–and then have to pay again for the exact thing that they used them for (in this case, Leopard when it comes out).
